What is the Stratosphere Tower?

The Stratosphere Tower is the tallest structure in Las Vegas, soaring 1,150 feet (350 meters) into the city’s dazzling skyline. It is part of  The Strat Hotel, Casino and SkyPod (formerly the Stratosphere), a hotel and casino.

Why is the tower so called?

The resort was named after the stratosphere in Earth’s atmosphere, as a reference to the height of the tower. The tower is not fully habitable and it is not considered a building.  Because of its visibility, the tower serves as a visual aid for some motorists in the Las Vegas Valley. The tower also presents problems for air traffic controllers, who have to guide certain planes to avoid the structure.

Is Stratosphere  Tower free for hotel guests?

Admission is free for hotel guests. The only things to do is to present the room key.
